Sunset Moonrise Photography Workshop
My first photography Sunset/Moonrise Photography Workshop was a great success. The weather called for rain but our group was blessed with high clouds that magically parted as we drove to our location at the Roxbury Land Trust on Good Hill Road in Roxbury. We set up our tripods at a location that would allow us to both see the moon rise and at the same time the sun set. This timing happens the day before the full moon. There was a low bank of clouds to the east that obstructed our view from the moon for quite some time until the moon could climb above the clouds. Then we were blessed with colorful skies in the west and clear skies in the east. The group learned about basic camera settings for this type of landscape photography and the use of polarizers and split neutral density filters. I wanted to that the attendies from the Camera Club of Oxford Greens for attending. Everyone had a great time and learned a lot in the process. Stay tuned for details about my next photography workshops.
